Grades 7-8 please be sure to bring the following documentation:

2 current proofs of residence.  If legal guardian provide documentation of guardianship.

Report Card from previous school if new to Mae Eanes

In-coming 6th Graders

 

1. Birth Certificate

 

2. Social Security Card

 

3. 2 current proofs of residence from your parent/guardian. (If legal guardian, provide documentation on guardianship).

 

4. 6th Grade Promoted report card

 

5. Parent's Driver's license

6.  If your student has turned 11 years old, they must take the 11 Year Old Vaccination and a new blue card must be turn into the school.

 

 

  

Mae Eanes Uniform Policy 2013-14

Beginning August 19, 2013, all students are required to be in uniform according to the uniform policy. Please ensure that your child(ren) adhere to this policy as it will be strictly enforced and there are no exceptions to this policy.

What to Wear

Uniform Policy is  strictly enforced

 

PANTS

Full length khaki pants (All grade levels)

SHIRTS

Acceptable long-sleeved shirt worn under short-sleeved shirts are plain WHITE, BLACK, NAVY colored shirts only

6th grade must wear light blue polo shirts

7th grade must wear navy blue polo shirts

8th grade must wear gold polo shirts

Spirit/Club Shirts allowed every Friday

Shirts MUST remain tucked at ALL times.

SHOES

Any type lace up athletic shoe

SOCKS

Black, brown, navy, tan or white socks

BELT

Must be worn at ALL times

INDOOR WEAR

SOLID NAVY or BLACK

Jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, vests

OUTDOOR WEAR

Should be labeled with student's last and first name

Not Restricted

Solid navy or black outerwear is encouraged

PE UNIFORM

Solid Gold Crew Neck T-Shirt (No Logos)

Unisex Mesh Royal Blue Shorts (No Logos)

Combination Lock (Combination provided to department)

What Not to Wear

PANTS

No shorts, capris, skirts, jumper or skorts

No bell bottoms, hip-huggers, jeans, wind suits, baggy pants, overalls, cargo pants, multiple zippers, LOGO pants, or "fad" pants

SHIRTS

No logo except Mae Eanes

No sleeveless, collarless shirts

No "fad" shirts

SHOES

No boots, loafers, heels, platforms, zippers, buckles, sparkle/glitter, slip on, or dress shoes

BELT

No decorations, sparkle/glitter

No "fad" belts

SOCKS

No flesh colored tights, panty hose or multicolored leggings

INDOOR WEAR

No OUTERWEAR WORN INSIDE BUILDING

No strips or edging

No LOGO except Mae Eanes

Required Summer Reading Assignment

Students will read one book every TWO weeks and be prepared to take three AR Quizzes during the month of August.

Principal's Challenge:  Students who read all five books at their grade level and pass the AR tests on the books will be treated to a special field trip!

Required Assignment:  Students should complete the following tasks on any one of the summer reading books.

  1. Artwork - Create a piece of artwork that reflects the theme, characters, setting, and/or mood of the novel.
  2. Reflection Journal - Write one paragraph (5-7 sentences) of reflection for each chapter of the novel.  A reflection shows what the reader is thinking or feeling about the novel.  (This is not a summary!)

Assignment due the first week of school!
